How much water is sufficient for my body?
What is the minimum amount of water I need daily?
How do I know if I drank enough for healthy functioning?
Over the years, whenever I asked my clients if they drank enough water daily? Their reply would definitely be, "YES! I drink a lot of water every day."
My second question for them would be, "do you think the amount of water that you have drank daily, has helped you in getting better health?"
Usually, at this moment, there would be silence; grins; pursing of lips, shrouding of shoulders, or all of the above.
Today, I would like to share a simple method of calculating the minimum amount of water that your body needs daily.
To have best results, please use this method, together with the Holistic Water Management Therapy (that I wrote in the previous page).
I have practised this for the past 16 years and I have good results for improving my health, skin, weight and body.
Give this simple method a try, you will be amazed how easy it is to have better health, skin, mental clarity, weight management and detox purposes.
Minimum amount of water that my body requires daily = Body Weight in kg X 30 mL of water.
For example, a person who weighs 60 kg:
Minimum amount of water that my body requires daily
= 60 kg X 30 mL
= 1,800 mL or 1.8 Litres.
This means, my body, based on my weight at 60 kg, requires 1.8 Litres of water daily, for healthy functioning.

Please take note that if you exercise outdoor, play sports or live in the tropics with temperatures soaring as high as 33 to 35 degrees Celsius,
I suggest that you can add 30% of addition water intake to prevent dehydration, heat stroke, muscle cramps and to maintain general well-being.
Do remember to use Holistic Water Management Therapy to manage your intake of water.
This is a conservative mathematics formula to calculate your minimum amount of water intake (for Asians), on a workout day or during hot weather.
You may increase your water intake according to your sports trainer or based on the intensity of your exercise.

I suggest for people who are really keen and serious to do a thorough kick-start for better health and skin, you may want to add an additional 200 ml of water to your calculated amount, for the first 21 days.
What is going to happen during these 21 days?
Well, if you experience one or more of the following benefits that are listed below, then I believe you would have already love to drink this amount of water for your health, skin and body!
1) Sensitive skin like acne flare ups, eczema and rashes start to clear up;
2) Irregular bowel movements begins to be regulated, every morning, before breakfast;
3) Indigestion, gas, bloated stomach, gastric or acid reflux issues become less often;
4) Backaches, bone and joint pain like gout, arthritis becomes less painful;
5) Dark yellow and stinky urine becomes clear and less smelly;
6) Hard stools become softer and more easy to pass out (a relief for people with piles);
7) Interrupted sleep becomes deeper, rested sleep and you feel refreshed in the day;

Can I continue to drink this amount of water, with Holistic Water Management Therapy, after 21 days?
Yes please! This is ideal because you have already experienced the natural health, skin and body benefits.
If not, you can use the suggested calculation to hydrate your body with the minimum amount of water per day.
Important!
Who is unsuitable to use this calculation?
1) People who have kidney diseases;
2) People who are kidney dialysis patients;
3) People who have heart diseases;
4) People who have both kidney and heart diseases;
5) People with rare health conditions, or multiple organs failure, and have been instructed by their doctors with specific amount of water or fluids to drink daily.
Please note:
People with the above mentioned health concerns are advised to follow your doctor's instructions.
For example, kidney dialysis patients who are advised to have 800 millilitres of water or fluids daily or less, based on your health and functioning ability of your kidneys, please follow your doctor's instructions for specific amount of water intake per day.
Can I add a slice of lemon or lime, and or, some mint leaves, to make my water intake more palatable?

YES please! You can also add some thin cucumber or apple slices, or some mint leaves too.
Do what it takes to encourage yourself to practise drinking the right amount of water and the right technique, using the Holistic Water Management Therapy for your health and body.
Why is this calculated minimum amount of water consumption helpful?
Most people miss out on the importance of drinking sufficient water for our bodies to maintain our health.
Many of us are also in dehydration mode for prolong duration. Actually, healthy kidneys secrete about 1.5 L of fluids daily.
Hence, when we replenish with the calculated minimum water intake, this is just to achieve body equilibrium and health maintenance. Now, with this knowledge, we not only drink the sufficient amount of water that we need, we also drink at regular intervals.
For beginners, you may experience some difficulties to consume this volume of water for your body and apply the Holistic Water Management Therapy (drinking technique).
Do not be disheartened as I took many days just to get the hang of it. Most importantly, do not give up and keep trying.
Why 21 days?
I suggest to keep practising for at least 21 days.
This is because studies show that if we do something for 21 consecutive times or days, our minds would be psychologically 'tuned' into the new habit.
Perhaps, there would be days when you are on a road trip and would not be able to drink this amount for your body or apply the water therapy management properly.
Do not beat yourself up.
Just resume when you return home.
If you have never drank more that 1 Litre of water a day for the past 30 or even 40 years, I suggest you can start to aim for at least 500 mL to 800 mL of water daily. Gradually, increase to 1 Litre, and increase accordingly. Soon, you will achieve the suggested amount that your body needs.
Yes you can achieve anything, if you put your mind and heart to do it!
PS: When one desires to change, there will be room for improvement.
