It was a Sunday afternoon and I wanted to have a quick meal fix for my parents and myself. As usual, my food philosophy for homecook food had to be healthy, tasty, nutritious, easy to prepare, economical and convenient to buy at local markets or supermarkets.
Luckily, we managed to get our food and groceries a few days back. So, I took a small portion of each type of vegetables from the refrigerator and put together this lovely looking and tasty meal in 45 minutes.
Absolutely easy to prepare! Give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised that simple ingredients when combined well together, can make your meal very enjoyable.
Encourage you have incorporate 5 Colours and 5 Tastes daily
to Aid Healthy Functioning of your vital organs
According to the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is good practice to incorporate the 5 colours and 5 tastes into our daily meals, or at least one meal per day, to support our health.
The 5 Colours and 5 Tastes that aid our vital organs are:
Green and Sour aids liver and gall bladder;
Red and Bitter aids heart and small intestines;
Yellow and Sweet aids spleen and pancreas;
White and Spicy aids lungs and large intestines; and,
Black and Salty aids kidneys and urinary bladder.
When we prepare and enjoy our food with love and goodness, our body cells will be nourished to aid growth and repair. Our organs have an opportunity to be revitalised and rejuvenated.
This colourful and tasty meal when eaten with gratitude, enhances nutrient absorption, happiness, inner peace and good health.
